Dimm Slots 1 And 2 Not Working Together
Slot 2 seemed to be the problem.used flat piece of plastic like the guitar pick.it worked gigitty.was confused on whether the slot is bad, the ram stick, or both??reason for confusion there is that i tried the slot 2 ram in the 1 slot with slot 2 empty and no boot but slot 1 ram in 1 slot with slot 2 empty did work.now with both in. Jun 23, 2010 Hi, I got this new mobo and 2 sticks of ram wont work in the first two slots. The ram is brand new from OCZ. I have 8gb of the same type of ram, and only the last two slots seem to work. Sep 19, 2019 Hey OP, try increasing the DRAM voltage a bit, from 1.2 to 1.3v, and see if that helps. A few years ago, I had a 6700k with a memory controller that did not work well at the proper 1.2v of the ram I was using. I had to increase it to 1.3v at stock settings, which was not good at all. I had to RMA the cpu to get it fixed.
